Gas mains replacement works set to start at Orford

GAS mains replacement works are set to start at Orford, which will result in a road closure on Sandy Lane for up to three weeks, starting on Monday, (March 6).

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Sandy Lane (northwest bound traffic) from its junction with Fisher Avenue to its junction with Northway and from its junction with Northway to its junction with Crowe Avenue.
The Order will be effective from 6th March 2023 for 3 weeks, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Fisher Avenue, Long Lane and Northway or via Howson Road, Poplars Avenue and Cleveland Road.
The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement work.
