FORMER Strength and Conditioning Coach for Warrington Wolves Academy Andrew Naumenko is on a mission to kick a goal at all Super League and Championship clubs before the start of the new Rugby League season, raising funds for Rob Burrow’s MND charity appeal.

Andrew, who worked with current 1st team youngsters including Josh Thewlis, Connor Wrench, Luke Thomas and Leon Hayes launched a Kicking For Burrow fundraiser, with he aim to kick a touchline conversion from all Super League and championship clubs.

Explaining the reason for his mission Andrew said: “Firstly..because Rob loved to kick and was great at it. The fact it is from wide out is to represent Robs Challenge..that not everything in life is as easy as a kick in front of the posts.
“I aim to visit all clubs to spread the word and to encourage hundreds of fans and kids to get out, pick up a ball and have a kick at their local clubs or parks. Upload their kicks on social media under the hashtag #kickingforburrow, and to donate £1 (or more) for every kick, which will go directly to Rob’s charity MND.”

So far he has completed clubs including Warrington, St Helen’s, Leeds, Dewsbury and Keighley and aims to complete before the start of next season.

Andrew added: “The challenge is starting to build some momentum now and has been noticed by legends of the game including Paul Sculthorpe, Andrew John’s, Kalyn Ponga and now even legendary kicker Jonny Wilkinson! He has also sent in a kick of his own!
