CHILDREN, staff and families from a Warrington day nursery took part in an “Elf run” to raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice.
The run was particularly relevant for the team from the Cheshire Day Nursery at Guardian Street as the nursery has a child attending their baby room whose Mum is currently receiving treatment at St Rocco’s.
Kimberley French, manager at the nursery, said: “We wanted to do something to raise funds for St Rocco’s. The elf run was a way of bringing the children out into the community and also involving the parents and families.
“We had the most wonderful day and the generosity of the parents has been phenomenal. We cannot wait to help more people and be out in the community more.”
Kimberley added: “St Rocco’s is a charity close to my heart and the amazing work carried out there is totally astonishing.”
