CHILDREN from the Kids Planet Warrington and Beamont nurseries attended the Warrington Home Start centre recently, to make up Christmas Eve Boxes for local families in need.
Kids Planet donated £250 which has paid for 25 Christmas Eve boxes, filled with some wonderful luxuries such as toys, hot chocolate, and Christmas activities, that will be gifted to deprived children and families in the Warrington area.
The children from the nurseries enjoyed their visit, making reindeer food and getting crafty, colouring in, and making their own decorations to go in the packs.
Lucy Glover, Business Development Manager at Home Start Warrington and Cheshire, said: “We are delighted that the local Kids Planet nurseries have got involved with the Christmas Eve Box appeal. It has been a fantastic opportunity to work together and not only encourage the children involved to give back to the community, but to raise awareness of what Home Start can offer local families.
At Home Start Warrington, we support families with at least one child under five, who need any help for a variety of reasons. We are passionate about empowering the families, and we recognise that at this time of year, families need help more than ever.”
