Two more COVID-19 deaths for second consecutive day as hospital inpatient numbers rise again

TWO more COVID-19 deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital for a second consecutive day, with inpatient numbers continuing to rise.

While two further deaths have been reported since yesterday, inpatient numbers have also risen again from 35-42 while six more patients have been discharged while 310 COVID-19 cases have been reported over the past seven days.

Current inpatients as of Tuesday, June 20, 2022 compared to Monday, June 19 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 42 (35) including 0 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 647 – 309 per 100,000 population compared to the England rate of 276.5.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 695 – 331.9 per 100,000.

There have been 310 (296) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 78,494 – 73,718 (73,651) 1st infections, 4,776 (4,757) second (78,408) and an infection rate of 148 (141.4) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 137.l (133.3) for England.
