Two more COVID-19 deaths as infection rates continue to rise

TWO more COVID-19 deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital since last Thursday with infection rates rising.

A total of 211 new cases have been recorded in the past seven days, with infection rates climbing to over 100 per 100,000.

Inpatient numbers have also risen slightly from 18-20, while a further 21 patients have been discharged.

Current inpatients as of Monday, June 13, 2022 compared to Thursday, June 9 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 20 (18) including 1 (3) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 646 – 308.3 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 265.3
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 693 – 330 per 100,000.

There have been 211 (127) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 78,093 – 73,397 1st infections, 4,696 second (77,941) and an infection rate of 100.8 (60.7) per 100,000 which has risen for the first time recently but is below the national rate of 85.9.
