LATCHFORD have been eliminated from the NWML Challenge Cup at the quarter final stage without even taking to the field.
With the fixture scheduled for the Jubilee bank holiday, Albion had believed this to be classed as a free weekend, and a large group of the squad went on a pre booked holiday to avoid missing vital league fixtures.
Despite making the league aware in advance of this clash, and also asking the opposition (Haresfinch) about the option of playing at an alternative date, the request was rejected and they duly awarded the victory to the hosts.
This Saturday Albion return to league action with an away trip to Orrell St.James, kick off 3PM
