Road closures in place for Platinum Jubilee street parties

A number of road closures will be in place across Warrington for various Platinum Jubilee street parties taking place between Thursday June 2nd to Sunday June 5th.

Parties have been arranged on various streets across the borough, on each day of the extended Bank Holiday, to celebrate the Queen’s 70th anniversary on the throne.

PLATINUM JUBILEE STREET PARTIES AND PROCESSIONS
THURSDAY 2 JUNE TO SUNDAY 5TH JUNE 2022

By virtue of the powers given in that behalf by the Town Police Clauses Act, 1847 and by Order of Warrington Borough Council:
On the occasion of the above-mentioned event, no cart, carriage, motor car, lorry or other vehicle (excepting Police, Ambulance and Fire Service vehicles) and no horses or other animal be allowed to remain in or travel along or over any of the undermentioned streets:

Thursday 2nd June 2022:
Blackley Close Street Party: Number 41 to end of cul-de-sac
Grappenhall & Thelwall Do Jubilee Parade 8pm to 10pm: Bellhouse Lane; Church Lane; Broad Lane
Light Up Lymm Jubilee Event 8pm to 10pm: The Cross; Eagle Brow
Sycamore Lane, Sankey: Numbers 45 to 61

Friday 3rd June 2022:
Bailey Crescent, Appleton
Barley Road, Thelwall -Dunmow Road to Pelham Road

Westbourne Road, Stockton Heath – Hillfoot Crescent to Carlingford Road
Whitefield Road, Stockton Heath – Carlton Street to Cawdor Street

Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicles” and must not be ridden through any of the above named streets during the hours specified. Any person wilfully acting in contravention of the above order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
Vehicular access to premises will only be permitted under the guidance of the organisers. Pedestrian and emergency routes will be maintained.
