Thelwall “bookswap” opens for villagers

A NEW “bookswap” has been officially opened at Thelwall – thanks to an initiative by local people.

During lockdown, Janet and Richard Taylor set up a temporary “bookswap” outside Inches, the beauty salon in Barley Road.
It proved so successful that the parish council was approached to set up a permanent one.

A wooden container for the books was provided by Chaigley School, made by one of their pupils, Matthew.

The book swap is located on the fence inside Diamond Park and is for the use of all residents in the area. It will be evaluatd over the next six months, and others, specifically for children’s books or for a plant exchange or in other areas of the village, may be able to be provided
