A CHANCE to learn more about trees comes at Stockton Heath, Warrington, on Saturday, May 28.

The parish council has got together with local biological records centre RECORD and botanist Jack Swan to stage a tree identification event – including a walk at local beauty spot Ackers Pit.
A drop-in event will take place at The Pavilion, in Alexandra Park, between 10am and 4pm. The event is free to attend and there will be lots of plant and tree-themed fun activities for all ages.
Then, at 10.30am and 1.30, Jack Swan will lead guided tree identification walks at Ackers Pit.
He will help participants learn how to identify trees using bark, leaf and flower shake and silhouette – and he will also have a wealth of amazing tree stories

All are welcome to attend the event, but under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Booking for the walks is by timed ticket through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tree-identification-event-tickets-333105325007.

People who cannot access Eventbrite should contact the clerk to the parish council who will make a booking for you: [email protected] or telephone 01925 210558.
