DARYL Powell has thanked Warrington Wolves fans for their support after ending their five-game losing streak.

Toby King scored a hat-trick as Warrington beat Salford 32-18 in front of a 8,486 crowd at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

They travel to Hull FC on Easter Monday, with the club having laid on free coaches for supporters who made the journey to Hull KR earlier this month.

Powell said: “I want to personally thank you for your support over the difficult period we have just been through.

“We’re still a long way from where we want to be, but last night’s game against Salford was an improvement, and credit to the players for the work they have put in over the last few weeks.

“To get where we want to be, we need to be together – as coaches, players, and fans.

“There will be ups and downs on this journey, and you are the ones that we’ll need to lift us when the chips are down.”

The win over Salford, their fourth from eight in the league this season, lifted Warrington in to the top six.

Hull FC play local rivals Hull KR in a Good Friday derby, before welcoming the Wolves to the MKM Stadium on Monday for a 5.30pm kick-off, televised live on Sky Sports.
