Hospital inpatient numbers remain high as one more COVID-19 death reported

ANOTHER COVID-19 related death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the weekend with inpatient numbers remaining high at 100.

Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have fallen slightly from 103-100 while 28 more patients have been discharged over the weekend.

Current inpatients as of Wednesday, April 6, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 100 (103) including 1 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 613 – 292.7 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 253.6.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 659 – 314.7 per 100,000.

There have been 946 (1,137) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including 303 since Friday, taking the total to 75,570 (75,267) and an infection rate of 746.4 (746.4) per 100,000 which has fallen again, while the national rate also continues to fall to 487.9 (636.3).
Testing has also fallen by -1,068,695(-24.8%) over the past seven days.
