Emergency carriageway repairs cause delays on local motorway network

0

LENGTHY delays are being reported on the motorway networks around Warrington due to emergency repair works on the M56, with queuing traffic also on the M6 at the Lymm interchange.

Two lanes of the M56 have been closed on the Westbound carriageway between J12 at Runcorn and J14 near Ellesmere Port.

National Highways say the closures is to allow work due to ‘a carriageway defect’.

There are currently delays of 30 minutes and approximately two miles of congestion.

Traffic England expects normal traffic conditions to return between 6.15pm and 6.30pm.
