Climate emergency campaigner to address parish meeting

CLIMATE emergency campaigner Ben Tolhurst is to give a presentation at the annual parish meeting at Stockton Heath on Tuesday, April 12.

Mr Tolhurst (pictured), from Lymm is a member of Zero Hour, the campaign group behind the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill, or CEE.

He is a former director of commercial real estate with international property firm JLL and a director of “Business Declares”, a not-for-profit organisation which acts as a critical friend to organisations who are seeking to change their business models and take positive steps to address the current environmental crisis.

His presentation will be on five practical steps that can be taken that can reduce the impact of Climate Change.

The annual parish meeting is for all electors in Stockton Heath for the electors of Stockton and will be at Stockton Heath Library, Alexandra Road, Stockton Heath at 7pm.

Parish council chairman Cllr Pamela Todd will deliver the annual report which provides information about the activities and services carried out by the parish council during the civic year from May last year until this month.

The normal monthly meeting of the parish council will follow immediately after the annual parish meeting.
