A special fundraising “Big Walkies” event has been organised by the RSPCA’s Warrington, Halton and St Helens branch at Walton Hall & Gardens on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

The event is being supported by Runcorn Dog Walking Group to lead everyone in a fun 3-mile walk covering some hidden gems and beautiful scenic viewpoints!

Taking in Lymm reservoir, and views across to Liverpool Cathedral and the Runcorn Bridge, take part to enjoy spring starting in all its glory. Expert group walk leaders have created a really interesting route with a mix of country lane and footpath walking, around the beautiful local area.

By coming along and having fun you will also support rescued pets, as every penny goes straight to the local rescue shelters. The RSPCA branch is funded separately from the National RSPCA, and events like these are crucial to their recovery after being open every day during the pandemic.

A representative from RSPCA Warrington, Halton and St Helens, said: “It’s really exciting to hold a Big Walkies again! It will be a lovely way to bring people together again after all the time we couldn’t be sociable during the pandemic.”

Come along (you don’t need to have a dog to join in!) by booking here by 15th March to guarantee your place.

Dogs go free and adults are £14 (to cover welcome pack and special branded shirt from Top Print Penketh). The start and end point is the Heritage Cafe at Walton Hall and Gardens (WA4 6SN).
The welcome desk will open at 10am with the walk due to set off by 10:30am.
