One more COVID-19 death reported at Warrington hospital as infection rates start to rise again

ONE more COVID-19 related death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the weekend, the first in a week, while infection rates have started to rise again.

Inpatient numbers have risen slightly from 51-52, with none in intensive care, while 15 patients were discharged.

Current inpatients as of Monday, March 7, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 52 (51) including 0 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 585 (584) 279.4 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 241.7.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 654 (654) 312.3 per 100,000.

*There have been 685 (590) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including another 317 (106) since Friday, taking the total to 67,931 (67,614) and an infection rate of 270.3 (237.3) per 100,000 which have risne for the first time in recent weeks, with the national rate at 369.1 (347.6), which has also risen slightly.
