Latest hospital data as two more COVID-19 related deaths reported

TWO more COVID-19 related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the weekend.

Inpatient numbers have also risen slightly from 53-54, including one in intensive care, while eight further patients were discharged.

Current inpatients as of Monday, February 28, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 54 (53) including 1 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 583 (583) 278.4 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 240.3
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 649 (649) 309.9 per 100,000.

*There have been 524 new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, taking the total to 67,246 and an infection rate of 271.3 per 100,000 this is a continuing downward trend compared to 340.5 last Friday.
