Motorist, 79, arrested for drink driving on another busy night for police

POLICE had another busy night of dealing with alcohol-related and violent crime including arresting a 79-year-old man for various motoring offences including drink driving.

The 79-year-old male was arrested this morning on Old Liverpool Road for numerous traffic offences including driving with excess alcohol.

Meanwhile, in other incidents, a 30-year-old male was arrested this morning for domestic assault in the Latchford area.

A 38-year-old male was also arrested on Longshaw Street for domestic assault and public order offences.

Then a 24-year-old male was arrested this morning on Academy Way. He was given a warning by police about his behaviour but ignored them and was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
