Five arrested on busy night of violence and alcohol related crime

FIVE people were arrested by Warrington police during a busy night of violence and alcohol-related crime, including an assault on an emergency worker in the town centre.

A 27-year-old male was arrested at 02:20 for assaulting an emergency worker, involving an assault on a police officer who was dealing with an incident in the town centre.



An 18-year-old old male from the Runcorn area was also arrested on Friars Gate at 03:30 for being drunk and disorderly while a 21-year-old female was arrested in the town centre this morning for assaulting her partner.

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old male was arrested in Orford last night for breaching a court order in relation to domestic offences.

A 20-year-old male was also arrested on Knutsford Road for driving whilst disqualified, with excess alcohol and no insurance.
