ONE more COVID-19 related death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital where inpatient numbers have increased for a second consecutive day, while infection rates have also risen for the first time in recent weeks.
A total of 187 (130) COVID-19 cases were reported by the UK Health Security Agency in the latest daily data, taking the total number of cases recorded in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 65,292 (65,105).
Infection rate figures over a seven-day period have risen slightly for the first time in recent weeks to 1,481 (1,477) – 707.3 (705.4) per 100,000 population but remain below the national average of 864.1 (893) per 100,000.
While one more death has been reported since yesterday, inpatient numbers have also risen again from 47-57 including two in ICU while nine patients have been discharged.
