Three more COVID-19 related deaths as hospital inpatient numbers also rise

THREE more COVID-19 deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the weekend, while inpatient numbers have also risen, although infection rates are continuing to fall.

The 130 (164) COVID-19 cases reported by the UK Health Security Agency in the latest daily data, take the total number of cases recorded in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 65,105 (64,811).

Infection rate figures over a seven-day period have fallen again to 1,477 (1,513) – 705.4 (722.6) per 100,000 population which have fallen again and are below the national average of 893 (923.2) per 100,000. which have also fallen again.

While three more deaths have been reported over the weekend, inpatient numbers have also risen from 41-47 while 33 patients have been discharged.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 572 (571) 273.2 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 236.1
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 638 (638) 304.7.
