Fire crews tackle suspected arson attack on caravan and car fire

FIRE crews were called out yesterday to a suspected arson attack on a caravan at Daresbury near Warrington and a car fire on Cromwell Avenue.

Shortly before 3:30 pm firefighters were called to a caravan fire in Newton Lane, Warrington.

The crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reels to put out the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately.

Then shortly before 7:30 pm last night firefighters were called to a car fire in Cromwell Avenue, Warrington.

The crew, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel to put out the fire and monitored its temperature using a thermal imaging camera.
