Fire crews tackle suspected arson attack on motorbike and car blaze on M62

FIRE crews were called out during the early hours of this morning to tackle a suspected arson incident involving a motorbike at Great Sankey, Warrington.

Shortly before 2:20 am One fire engine from Penketh was called to a motorbike on fire in Chapelside Close, Great Sankey.

The crew used a hose reel to put out the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately.

Earlier on Saturday, shortly after 1pm crews from Warrington and Lymm were called to a car on fire on the M62 at junction 11 eastbound.

The crew wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put out the fire and damp down the vehicle.
