ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly been reported at Warrington & Halton Hospital over the weekend, with inpatient numbers and infection rates rising in the town.
A total of 232 (240) new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Warrington by the UK Health Security Agency, taking the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 42,171 (41,939).
Infection rates have risen again to 1,443 (1,312) – 689.1 (626.6) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period which is below the national average of 716.1 (646) per 100,000, which have risen again.
While one more COVID-19 death has been reported at the hospital, inpatient numbers have risen from 25-28 over the weekend, including six in ICU, while eight patients were discharged.
