MOST areas of Warrington continued to see an upward trend in new COVID-19 cases in the latest small area data, with the largest spike in new cases at Lymm which saw an increase from 57 to 120.
With the new Omicron variant now in Warrington, infection rates are set to continue to rise.
The latest data published yesterday, December 16, for the week ending December 11, show COVID-19 infection rates in Warrington had risen to 1,214 new cases in a seven-day period compared to 1,113 the previous week and 936 the week before that.
