COVID-19 infection rates continue to rise in Warrington but fall below national rate

COVID-19 infection rates are continuing to rise in Warrington with 240 new cases confirmed in the town in the latest daily data, although they are now below the national average.

The 240 (247) new COVID-19 cases in Warrington reported by the UK Health Security Agency, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 41,939 (41,699). There is currently no data showing how many cases of Omicron have been confirmed in Warrington.

Infection rates have risen again to 1,312 (1,275) – 626.6 (608.9) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period which is now below the national average of 646 (587) per 100,000, which have risen again.
