A CHRISTMAS Fair taking place on Sunday, December 19 will kick-start a number of fundraising events to help send Scouts from Stockton Heath to an International Scout Camp in Switzerland in 2023.
The fair will take place at the Scout Hut in Dudlow Green Road, Appleton – run by Scouts and including attractions including soft archery, fencing, a virtual dinosaur experience, barbecue, tombola and festive treats.
A spokesperson for the Scouts said: “There is a commitment from Warrington 21st (Appleton 1st) Scouts group to get several willing Scouts to Switzerland in 2023 in order to visit the International Scout Camp to perform environmental studies on climate change.
“The cost of the trip is significant for many families so we would like to run a number of fun and exciting fundraising events to subsidise the cost of the trip. These events will run from December through to the summer of 2023.”
The Christmas Fair opens at5 11am until 2pm.
