POLICE and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer, and PC Panda made a surprise visit to St Philips Westbrook C of E Primary School to deliver a special prize to Christmas Card competition winner, Noel Finney aged 6.

The Commissioner launched his Christmas card competition at the end of September, inviting primary school children from across the county to submit their designs for the Commissioner to use.

Mr Dwyer said: “I was extremely impressed with all of the designs that were submitted as part of the competition.

“Some children’s imaginations knew no bounds. Shortlisting the designs then choosing an overall winner was a difficult task.”

The Commissioner will send cards featuring Noel’s design to recipients in Warrington.

During the visit to his school, the Commissioner and PC Panda presented Noel with a certificate and his prize of an art hamper which included a full colouring kit, meaning he can explore his creativity even further.

Mr Dwyer added: “Seeing the excitement on Noel’s face was a joy to behold. I hope he enjoys his prize. Thank you to again to everyone who entered the competition.”
