Road closures for Lymm Dickensian Day

A number of road closures will be in place for the Lymm Dickensian Day parade, tomorrow, Saturday, December 11.

Warrington Borough Council has authorised road closures between the hours of 7.00 am and 6.00 pm:
The Cross, between Eagle Brow and Pepper Street
Eagle Brow, between The Cross and Brookfield Road
Bridgewater Street
Whitbarrow Road between Bridgewater Street and Brookfield Road

Between the hours of 12.30 pm and 1.45 pm
Statham Avenue
Between the hours of 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm
Whitbarrow Road, between Statham Avenue and Brookfield Road
Brookfield Road, between Whitbarrow Road and Eagle Brow
The Cross, between Pepper Street and Lymm Bridge
Lymm Bridge
New Road, between Lymm Bridge and Dane Bank Road East

An alternative route will be available for through traffic via Brookfield Road, Dane Bank Road, Dane Bank Road East, and vice versa, except during the period of the procession from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm when appropriate sections of the roads listed above will be closed to allow the procession to pass safely.

Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicle” and must not be ridden through any of the named streets during the hours specified. Any person wilfully acting in contravention of the above Order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.

Vehicular access will be under the control of the organisers. Pedestrian and emergency routes will be maintained.
