Latest COVID-19 hot spots and vaccination data as 14 areas see increases and infection rates show upward trend

COVID-19 infection rates in Warrington are showing an upward trend in the latest small area data, with 14 areas of the town seeing increases, with Houghton Green, Fearnhead and Blackbrook particular hot spots.

With the overall trend being up, the latest daily figures released yesterday saw 171 new cases confirmed, the highest number for more than a month.

The latest data published yesterday, November 25 , for the week ending November 20, show COVID-19 infection rates in Warrington have risen to 827 new cases in a seven-day period compared to 766 the previous week and 789 the week before that.
