One more COVID-19 death and 78 new cases as rates fall marginally

ONE more COVID-19 related death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital although infection rates have fallen marginally after two days of increases.

The 78 (124) new cases reported by Public Health England, take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 37,341 (37,263).

After two days of increases infection rates in Warrington have fallen marginally to 807 (809) – 385.4 (386.3) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain below the national average of 427.6 (422.7) per 100,000, which have increased again.

While one more patient has died at the hospital inpatient numbers have risen from 10-13, with one in ICU and one patient being discharged.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 524 (524) 250.4 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 214.9.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 609 (598).
