Woodland tale enchants primary school pupils

YOUNGER pupils at Warrington’s Alderman Bolton Primary School enjoyed a woodland tale from author and illustrator Sean Perkins.

Sean visited the school and entertained nursery and Year 1 pupils with his new story book, Oscar and Ben.

The youngsters heard all about the book’s heroes, two cats called Oscar and Ben, and their adventures in a forest in which they meet a hen, an angry frog and a tiny mouse.
Acting assistant headteacher Kate McCormack said: “It was a really engaging, humorous story that the children loved.”
Alderman Bolton Primary is one of seven primary schools that make up Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT), a community of more than 2,100 children aged 2 to 11.
