TWO road closures are looming in Lymm next week to allow works to be carried out by Cadent Gas and British Telecom.
Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a prohibition of driving on Barsbank Lane from its junction with Barsbank Close to its junction with Lymmington Avenue.
The Order will be effective from 4th October 2021 for a period of two weeks, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Warrington Road, Camsley Lane, Booths Hill Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out gas main replacement works.
Starting on the same date there will also be a prohibition of driving on Mag Lane from its junction with Crouchley Lane to its junction with the Borough Boundary with Cheshire East.
The Order will be effective for five days, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Crouchley Lane, Beechtree Lane, West Lane, Cliff Lane and vice versa. The closure is required to allow British Telecom to work on their underground apparatus.
