LATCHFORD Albion’s international trio of Matthew Ellis, Charlie McCurrie and Matthew Nash were in action again on Saturday, as they represented the England Community Lions Under 20 squad, making the trip to face their Ireland counterparts, with all three contributing towards the visitors 38 – 12 victory.
Nash and McCurrie both registered tries, whilst Ellis controlled the game well from the hooker position.
Alongside this McCurrie was awarded player of the series, following some great performances, registering five tries in the two games played.
Albion finally return to action this week after a four week break, when they host Chorley Panthers at the Victoria Park Arena kick off 7pm.
With the game scheduled to be the last home game of the 2021 campaign, the hosts have made the game the Past Players fixture, where all former players are invited to support the current squad, in their attempts to claim the NWML Division One table.
