HOSPITAL admissions at Warrington & Halton hospitals have risen from 22 to 28 over the weekend while 111 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the town in the latest data from Public Health England
The 111 (68) new COVID-19 cases take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 25,498 (25,387).
While hospital admissions increased, a total of five patients were discharged and there were no further COVID-19 related deaths.
Infection rates in Warrington for the last seven days remain at 649 (649) – 309.9 (309.9) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period and are above the national average of 294.6 (293.3) per 100,000, which continues to rise.
Meanwhile, the UK has recorded 28,438 new COVID cases and 26 more coronavirus-related deaths in the latest 24-hour period.
