Highest number of new COVID-19 cases for almost a month as 147 confirmed in Warrington

COVID-19 infection rates in Warrington have risen with 147 new cases – the highest number for nearly a month – according to the latest data from Public Health England.

The 147 (123) new COVID-19 cases take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 25,319 (25,172).



Infection rates in Warrington for the last seven days have risen from 645 (635) – 308 (303.3) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period and are above the national average of 291.7 (288.3) per 100,000, which continues to rise.

Current inpatients as of Friday, August 13 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 22 (22) including 5 (5) in ICU.

There are also 5 long-term COVID-related inpatients at the hospital.
