New COVID-19 infection rates continue to fall in Warrington as 89 cases confirmed

COVID-19 infection rates are continuing to fall in Warrington according to the latest data from Public Health England, with 89 new cases confirmed.

The 89 (94) new COVID-19 cases reported take the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 23,910 (23,821).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have fallen again to 775 (829) – 369 (394.7) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– but still above the national average of 306.9 (333.1) per 100,000, which has also fallen.



Meanwhile, the UK has reported 26,144 new COVID-19 cases and 71 more deaths in the latest 24-hour period.
The figures show positive cases in the UK have fallen by 33% in the past seven days, although deaths have increased by 9.2% across the same period.
A total of 35,773 people received their first dose of a COVID vaccine yesterday, taking the overall total to 46,811,298, while 164,295 had their second jab, meaning 38,126,702 are now fully inoculated.
