YOUNGSTERS have again been ignoring police warnings about the dangers of swimming in Lymm Dam and other waterways in the area.
Police have been kept busy in recent days patrolling Lymm Dam, Slitten Gorge in Lymm village centre and the River Bollin following reports of youths jumping in the water.
More youths were spoken to about the dangers of swimming and jumping into Lymm Dam on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the youngsters say they were unaware of the dangers and the number of deaths across the region in the last week, including at Frodsham and Chester.
Earlier in the week police received reports of youths jumping into the water at Slitten Brook where there have been ongoing issues with vandalism.
There have also been reports of youngsters swimming in the River Bollin.
Officers are appealing to parents to educate their children about the dangers of swimming in local waters due to strong undercurrents, pollution and cold water shock.
