FIREFIGHTERS led one person to safety early today (Monday) after fire was reported at a flat in Festival Crescent, Orford, Warrington.
The blaze was reported some 15 minutes after midnight and three fire engines from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Birchwood were sent to the scene.
On arrival, firefighters entered the flat and found the property was smokelogged, apparantely as a result of burning food.
One person was led to safety and firefighters used a ve ntilation unit to clear the smoke from the flat.
Crews were detained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
Earlier, a fire engine from Warrington was sent to Longshaw Street, Warrington to deal wih a blazing wheelie bin. They used a hose reel jet and were at the scene for about 15 minutes.
