No Brainer team take on 6,000 km charity challenge to celebrate six years in business

A team of 10 from Warrington-based marketing agency No Brainer is planning to cover more than 6,000km as part of a fundraising charity drive for St Rocco’s Hospice and the Taylor Bennett Foundation.

The team from the digital PR, SEO and content agency based near Stockton Heath, Warrington – is taking on the challenge over the next few months with each individual aiming to walk, run or cycle up to 100km every month to help hit the milestone.

The 6,000km is in recognition of the agency’s sixth birthday in April this year, and is the equivalent of travelling from the company’s office at Quayside House, Wilderspool Business Park all the way to China.
A fundraising target of £1,000 has also been set, with No Brainer planning to split the money evenly between St Rocco’s – a hospice that supports people with life-limiting or terminal illness; and the Taylor Bennett Foundation – a charity that encourages Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic graduates to pursue a career in PR or communications.

Lee Cullen, Director and co-founder of No Brainer, said: “This year, we haven’t been able to do some of the usual things we would to celebrate our company birthday, so as a team we decided to take on a fundraising campaign for two great causes.
“Charities everywhere have really been struggling due to the problems lockdown has caused for fundraisers getting out and about, so we wanted to do something to help.
“St Rocco’s is a charity we’ve worked with so we know all about the amazing work they do in our local community. And the Taylor Bennet Foundation is a charity doing some brilliant work to promote greater diversity and inclusion in our industry, which is something we really believe in supporting.”
The ten-strong agency has picked up a number of industry awards in recent years and has been ranked as the top agency in Warrington by a number of leading business guides. An ongoing recruitment drive will also see the team recruit three new people over the next couple of months.
“If all goes to plan, we’re aiming to complete the 6,000 kilometres in six months, and we’ll take on the challenge of climbing Snowdon as a group to make sure we clock up the full distance,” added Lee.
“As a group of 10 we were confident we could do it but we’re really excited to be growing the team again this year and having extra people to take on the challenge with us will definitely help!
“Even though we’ve adopted a hybrid working model to give people the flexibility to work from home, we’re all looking forward to getting back to our offices later this year and bringing the team back together.”
