PLANS have been submitted to Warrington Borough Council to regularise currently unauthorised use of land at Cuerdley.
Applicant William Smith wishes to continue using the site for vehicle and container storage.
The proposal is for long-term storage and there will be very few vehicle movements – certainly not more than three a week, he says.
The site entrance would remain unchanged although the existing security gates would be replaced with a more robust installation.
When used as part of the garden centre the site was surfaced with aggregate and granular shavings and had become overgrown.
However the owner has now cleaned the site of weeds etc and introduced a compacted granular surface comprised of tarmacadam aggregate and shavings.
