WHILE 10 areas of Warrington have seen increasing numbers of new COVID-19 cases in the latest data from Public Health England showing the town’s hot spots, five areas of the town have almost zero new cases.
The Public Health England data for small areas in Warrington showing case counts for the week ending 06 March and, in parentheses, the data they issued for the 27th February.
There are areas showing zero cases but they may only be zero in order to protect patient confidentiality. In the five areas showing as zero cases on the 6th March the total cases was in fact seven.
But over a seven-day period across the whole borough COVID-19 infection rates have dropped from 203 to 167.
