COVID-19 infection rates in Warrington drop below 100 per 100,000 for first time since early October

WHILE one more patient has sadly died at Warrington Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 infection rates per 100,000 population have dropped below 100 for the first time in Warrington since early October last year.

The 24 (33) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 17,088 (17,064).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 209 (230) – 99.5 (100.5) per 100,000 population, continuing a downward trend over a seven-day period. This compares to the national rate of 84.4 (89.2) per 100,000.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 472 (472) 224.7 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is now 527 (527).
