Man who fell from building sadly dies

A 36-year-old man who fell from a building undergoing development work in Palmyra Square, Warrington yesterday morning has sadly died.

He was taken to Aintree Hospital but died this afternoon (25 February).
The man, who it is understood had been working on the building which is being converted into flats, has not yet been formally identified but is believed to be a 36-year-old man from the Staffordshire Moorlands area.
His family is being supported by officers and a joint investigation is underway with police and the Health and Safety Executive.
