No deaths and lowest number of new COVID-19 cases since Christmas Day

NO new COVID-19 deaths have been reported at Warrington Hospital since yesterday, while 45 new cases confirmed in the town is the lowest figure since Christmas Day!

The number of COVID-19 inpatients at the hospital has also come down again with another 20 patients discharged in the last 24 hours.
The 45 (88) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 15,960 (15,915).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 668 (701) – 318.1 (333.8) per 100,000 population, continuing a downward trend over a seven day pertiod.

Covid-19 positive inpatients 181 (193) of which 21 (21) are in ICU
Total number of tests (inpatients/community) cumulative – 58,877 (58,546)

Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 1,536 (1,516)

*The highest number COVID-19 positive inpatients during the first wave was on 12th April with 124 patients of which 18 were in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 436 (432) 207.6 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England is 452 (452).

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths reported on Friday, February 5 was 1,014 (915), taking the total number of deaths to 111,264 (110,250).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 19,114 (20,634), taking the total number to 3,911,573 (3,892,459).
