WHILE the latest data from Public Health England shows a continuing downward trend of new infections across Warrington – eight COVID-19 “hot spots” have seen increases.
Infection rates are remaining stubbornly high in the Blackbrook and Orford areas of town, while Hulme, Kingswood & Whittle Hall, Woolston, Lymm, Grapenhall and Appleton Thorn, Stretton & Walton, have all seen increases, compared to the previous seven days.
But the overall infection rate over a seven-day period has decreased from 950 to 701.
Public Health England’s small area data published today, Thursday, for the week ending 30th January shows the following numbers of COVID-19 cases.
The numbers of cases in parentheses, as usual, are the numbers for the previous seven days ending 23rd January.
