A WARRINGTON charity which helps families with young children through challenging times has received a £1,000 donation.

Home-Start Warrington is a network of trained volunteers that supports families with issues such as isolation, post-natal illness, disability, mental health issues, bereavement, multiple births, poverty or financial difficulties, substance abuse or low self-esteem and confidence, and a range of other challenges.
They offer informal home visits where volunteers can work with families one-to-one.
The donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre at Warrington will go into the charity’s family fund which means it can provide craft and play activities during lockdown and potential day’s out next year.
Priyanka Bernard, site leader at Amazon Warrington, said: “Home-Start Warrington provides great support for many families and we are glad we can make this contribution. It is important for every young family to receive guidance and feel supported, so we are grateful for the work this charity does.”
Ellie Harrison from Home-Start Warrington added: “On behalf of myself and the Home-Start Warrington team, I want to say a big thank you to Priyanka and everyone at Amazon. This has been particularly needed during this very difficult year of isolation and worry for all families..”
