Arsonists target Padgate play area again!

ARSONISTS have targeted a children’s play area at Padgate for the fourth time in two weeks despite police announcing they were stepping up patrols in the area.

The latest incident involved a wheelie bin being set on fire at the play area off Lysander Drive at around 9.15pm last night (Sunday).
One fire engine attended from Warrington after firefighters were called to a wheelie bin fire in the children’s play area.
Crews used a hose reel to put out the fire.
It is the fourth suspected arson attack in the last two weeks.
Following the last incident, police said they were aware of the problems and would be stepping up patrols in the area.
