Warrington Rylands historic FA Cup clash to feature live on the BBC

WARRINGTON Rylands are set to feature in the FA Cup live on the BBC for their 2nd qualifying round clash with York City, almost six years on from when near neighbours Warrington Town pulled off a fairytale cup shock in front of the TV cameras.

Their Emirates FA Cup second round qualifying tie against York City is being screened in the UK by the BBC.
The clubs will meet at Gorsey Lane on Saturday 3 October (3pm BST kick-off), with the game being shown live on the BBC Sport website, Red Button and BBC iPlayer.

Their opponents are the highest-ranked team playing at this stage of the competition ending the aborted 2020/21 season second in the National League North missing out on promotion in the play offs.

Sadly Warrington Town’s FA cup journey ended at the first hurdle this season as they went out on penalties to South Shields.
