WARRINGTON Rylands 1906’s reward for beating Whitby Town on in the FA Cup is a home tie against York City in the 2nd qualifying round on Saturday, October 3.
Their opponents are the highest-ranked team playing at this stage of the competition ending the aborted 2020/21 season second in the National League North missing out on promotion in the play offs.
Capacity at Gorsey Lane will be limited to 300, ticket details to be announced.
Rylands progressed in the FA Cup for the first time int he club’s history winning a thrilling penalty shoot-out at higher league Whitby Town on Tuesday evening.
They led for much of the game before the hosts scored a late equaliser forcing the game into penalties.
